Lore’s Chocolate Factory – A Chocolate Birthday Party Experience

On Saturday, March 26th members of Philly Social Media Moms (PSMM) and their families visited Lore’s Chocolates in Old City Philadelphia to launch Lore’s newest birthday party offerings.  Lore’s owners, Tony and Maureen Walter, hosted the event, which was organized by PSMM member Karla Trotman.  The Lore’s Chocolate Birthday Experience was two, 1-hour long sessions where the children learned about chocolate and had the opportunity to make their own creations.

A Unique Birthday Party for Kids

So how did this birthday party idea come about?  “I had already put down the deposit on another one of those bouncing parties when I thought, ‘I don’t want to do that again’”, reflects Maureen Walter, who acts as Marketing and Communications Director of Lore’s Chocolates.  Her husband’s family has owned Lore’s for over twenty years.  Lore’s downtown factory, located directly under the Old City shop, is no longer the location of its main chocolate production.  Maureen decided to make use of the space and hold her son’s birthday party there, calling it “A Chocolate Birthday Experience”.  The party was such a hit that she decided to offer Chocolate Birthday Parties as part of Lore’s services.

Jo-Lynne, it was a fabulous event. The kids were so excited to be there and to create their very own treats. I had an adult chocolate party there this past weekend. It was a chocolate and wine pairing. Everyone had an amazing time.
