Nichole Armstrong

NicholeNichole Armstrong started her career in the digital world as the manager of an interactive mall kiosk where she taught people about the Internet and sold dial-up access back in the late 90’s. Since then she’s worked on many large and small scale web development projects doing a little bit of everything from programming to online community management. Currently, Nichole is the Social Media Manager for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a national fundraising movement that raises money for pediatric cancer research and awareness. She is also a certified Google Adwords Professional and freelances as an Adwords Account Manager for small businesses. Her infrequently updated personal blog can be found at NicholeAnn.com.

Debbie Bookstaber

Debbie BookstaberDebbie Bookstaber is the co-founder of Bloganthropy and one of the bloggers behind Mamanista. Bloganthropy empowers bloggers to become philanthropic leaders in their communities. Through their annual and monthly awards, Bloganthropy recognizes bloggers who effectively use social media for social good. Debbie is the president of Element Associates where she leads online marketing, affiliate marketing and social media initiatives for her clients. An active volunteer and mom to two boys, Debbie serves on several charitable boards and was elected to a position on her local school board in 2007. Debbie graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Yale University with a Bachelors and Masters in History.

Joey Fortman

Joey FortmanAfter 15+ years in Traditional Media, Joey traded in the microphone for the diaper bag. Her son Boston, born in 2008, not only changed her life…but changed the way she looked at media. In order to document his life for friends and family in the midwest, Joey started Real Mom Media. In the beginning it was just a spec of dust on the corner of your computer screen, but over the years Joey has turned it into a way of life. You can currently see Joey on PHL-17, hosting Better Philly weekdays at 7am. She does frequent guest spots as a parenting expert on FOX 29 Philly, and she’s also one of 15 iVoices with iVillage from across the country. Joey is also host of Real Mom Radio heard on WBEN Ben FM in Philadelphia, highlighting moms in and around Philadelphia!

Kathryn Goldstein Legge

Kate LeggeKate Legge was part of the founding team of Griesing Law, LLC. Prior to working at Griesing Law, Kate worked at two AmLaw 100 law firms. She successfully represents both public and closely held entrepreneurial companies, locally and nationwide, in complex commercial litigation, intellectual property and new media matters, including trade secret, copyright, unfair competition and trademark-related disputes. Kate also counsels businesses and non-profit organizations on a range of strategies and solutions relating to new media, intellectual property, e-commerce, online content protection and infringement, software development, licensing, domain name disputes, website terms, social media legal risks, and employment matters. She has particular experience in assisting and counseling businesses in the financial services, real estate, hospitality and technology industries.

Kate has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2010-2012. Kate is an honors graduate of Bowdoin College and also an honors graduate of American University, Washington College of Law, where she served as Senior Articles Editor for the AMERICAN UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL LAW REVIEW. Kate also worked for the United States Department of Justice, Environmental Crimes Section and the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.

Wendy Kaiser

Wendy KaiserWendy has spent the lion’s share of her professional life persuading people to watch tv in her role as a Creative Services Director at local television stations from Miami to New York with two stints in Philadelphia. She’s a 5 time Emmy Award winning writer and producer and Temple alum where she is currently teaching two courses in the Advertising department. Her expertise includes writing and producing short features, sales presentations, commercials and promos for television and the web. She believes coffee has special creative powers, the best ideas really do hit you in the shower and that the iphone is the single greatest tool any creative type could ever have.

Cecily Kellogg

Cecily KelloggCecily has been working in marketing, PR, and event coordination for over fifteen years. As the internet changed the picture in the marketing industry, Cecily found herself immersed in the world of social media and made the obvious connection between social media and marketing early on. Through her personal blog Uppercase Woman, Cecily has become a staple of the mommy blogging scene. She’s well known for her irreverent wit and willingness to tackle the most controversial of subjects. Cecily has spoken extensively about social media and is a board member of the Philadelphia branch of the Social Media Club. She has over 20,000 followers on twitter, and her blog is ranked in the top 25,000 in the United States. Cecily has combined her internet savvy and social media skills into a solid freelance career writing SEO copy as well as helping companies connect with the right bloggers and online personalities for their marketing needs. She works for About One and writes for Babble’s Mom Crunch.

Julie Meyers Pron

Julie Meyers PronA mom, wife, educator, marketer, cheerleader, budding organizer, and me-time enthusiast, Julie shares her knowledge, lifestyle tips, business-savvy suggestions and real life stories helping you to parent confidently while remaining your stylish self. Julie began blogging in 2004 as a senior editor for Mommies with Style while she ran an online boutique. Finding her love for Social Media, Julie branched out and formed Just Precious in 2009. She is co-founder of Just Centsible Consulting and Principal of Splash Creative Media. Sarah Peppel

Sarah PeppelSarah Peppel has officially moved into the role of WAHM (Work-At-Home-Mom) as she teaches online communication courses, works in the vast world of social media, participates in the blogosphere, volunteers in local politics and maintains an active role in local women’s ministries. She has two teen daughters who roll their eyes at her shenanigans to get IT all done. She has a wonderful husband who has his own Handyguys Podcast, and they have a little beagle that chews up their world. Stephanie Schwab

Stephanie SchwabStephanie Schwab is a social media strategist and digital entrepreneur. She discovered a morbid addiction to fonts and vector graphics and launched DCR Design in 2007 as a way to justify a monthly subscription to iStockphoto. She also facilitates the Philly Social Media Moms community and organizes the PSMM Workshops.

Dresden Shumaker

Dresden ShumakerDresden is a self-taught graphic artist and WordPress nerd.  After studying theatre at NYU, she moved to Los Angeles and worked for six years at a Universal Studio based production company. When she started blogging in 2005, she fell in love with design. To fund her dream of single motherhood, she began designing (and fixing) blogs. Susan Tabor-Kleiman

Susan Tabor-KleimanAn accomplished trial lawyer and grant writer before starting her business Your Professional Writer, Susan helps entrepreneurs close the gap between who they know they are and how their words make them look online. She writes professional bios, “about me” pages, LinkedIn profiles, and networking pitches and delivers workshops on these topics.

Not that long ago, like many of us, Susan was “on” LinkedIn, but didn’t really understand why people bothered with it. That all changed when her business was in its infancy.
