Thursday, December 9, Chester County Moms and Just Centsible Consulting kicked off the 2nd Annual Holiday Extravaganza, benefiting Toys for Tots. The event, attended by 150 lucky, ticket-holding Philadelphia-area moms, collected well over 1300 toys, providing happy holidays for 450 children. This is likely to be the largest collection event in the state of Pennsylvania.

Each of the 150 guests was being asked to bring unused, unwrapped toy donations. For every toy donated, up to 10 toys*, the guest received 5 tickets to a raffle of 100 prizes. Surprising the guests, we doubled their tickets after the Chris Byrne, The Toy Guy, announced his hot picks for the season.

Attendees raved about the experience on Facebook:

“had a blast at your event tonight!! I couldn’t believe all the giveaways and the great food! Thanks for all you do! :)” –Christine S.

“Thank you so much for last night! I had a wonderful time. It’s such a good feeling knowing that so many children will have a present on Christmas! I’m looking forward to next year!” –Jennifer P.

As did sponsors:

“We are SO lucky to be a part of the Holiday Extravaganza 2010 last night! With the help of amazing moms from all over Chester County, 150 to be exact, Chesco Moms was able to raise 1,363 toys for toys4tots and they are going to about 400 children in OUR COMMUNITY! Our Preston and Steve Rocks! studio tour giveaway was a hit!” —On Tap Network

Nationally sponsored by Playmobil and locally sponsored by Scott Honda, David Fuller Karate, AboutOne and Learning Express.

The event, attended by 12 members of PSMM, culminated with a MOMumental Moment: when all of the attendees were awarded a Tassimo T20 Brewbot and coffee.
