Philly Social Media Moms, Erica of Mommy’s Fabulous and Tina of Life Without Pink recently formed a networking group called Girls’ Lunch Out, GLO for short – a place for local women in social media to connect, share ideas and collaborate over a delicious lunch.
In their words: A networking event that’s a little part educational, a little part networking, a little part brand introduction and a whole lot of fun!
On Saturday, March 5th, 50 local women gathered at at 8 East Bar in Conshohocken for the second GLO Luncheon — an afternoon of find food and drink, networking, and not to mention some fabulous swag, thanks to the GLO sponsors: Dole Foods, Dapple toy and surface cleaner,Premier Baby Concierge, O’Boy Organics, DazzleStick diamond cleaner, Seed Power body care products, Lavenders Spa in Conshohocken, Cookiepalooza cookies for dessert, Pop Chips, Happy Baby Foods, AboutOne, and the movie Jane Eyre.
The event was sold out weeks in advance!
We did so much tweeting that our hashtag #girlslunchout was trending that day!
It’s always fun to put faces with names, and there was even a fun “social media speed dating” round where we were challenged to introduce ourselves to one other women we didn’t already know and exchange business cards and make connections.
Of course it was fun to chat it up with “old friends” too.
If you are a woman in social media and would like to get together a few times a year to network and have some fun, you can find more information by visiting Girls’ Lunch Out.

Thanks for the great review, and posting this on the PSMM page for us!
Can’t wait to get together again!
What fun!
A newbie in the “blog community”, I’m always looking for ways to meet fellow media moms!
Hope to attend a future Lunch!
It was a great time to make new and old friends and perfect for us bloggers. I especially like how it was scheduled at a time that family members would be able to provide childcare to our kids and the fee made it affordable too. Great Job Erica and Tina.
I’m so glad I made the drive 🙂
It was so nice to get a chance to put names to faces and make some great personal connections.
Had a great time! I wish I had met more of ya’ll!
Had a great time seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones – I know there are people I didn’t catch up with so I can’t wait for the next one! Thank you for a great event!
