NEST is a new children’s enrichment center and indoor playground located in Center City, Philadelphia.
On Friday, a group of PSMM bloggers and some of their kiddos got the opportunity to play and check it out.

NEST occupies a beautiful warehouse space on Locust Street and was created by three families that reside in Philadelphia.
When you arrive at NEST, you enter into their spacious lobby, lounge, cafe and retail area.
We headed downstairs to the NEST playspace, an indoor, eco-friendly space with a floor-to-ceiling birdhouse, a meandering “creek†that serves as a guide to various nature-inspired exhibits, and an over-sized farmers’ market. Kids can engage in a total sense of pretend and fascination while at the same time exerting some of that extra energy!
The PSMM moms and their kids were quick to shed their shoes into the little cubbies and head into the space. Based on the squeals and laughter, a good time was had by all.

Since I was kid-less that day, I had the opportunity to look around and explore the space from a parent’s perspective. I was struck by the “barstools” off to one side — a perfect place for a nursing mom to sit with her baby while watching her toddler play and explore. There are also two family bathrooms downstairs equipped with changing tables and low toilets.
NEST has a party space where the PSMM families enjoyed a yummy lunch and got to hear about all the great plans as this space gets up and running.
Rainna and Rob took the opportunity to explain their class and workshop structure to us. NEST is offering a full line-up of classes beginning September 12. Everything from Mommy and Me to Discovery Art. Classes engage children from 6 weeks to 6 years.
