This past Saturday, many PSMM’s had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Mom Mixer Holiday Showcase. The event, thrown by fellow PSMM’s Whitney and Colleen, was a classy fete hosted in the XIX Restaurant at the Hyatt at the Bellevue in center city Philadelphia. Over 160 bloggers were able to connect with great brands before the kick-off of the holiday season. Here is run down of some of the great companies that attended the event (photo credits Colleen Padilla):
Hasbro
As the title sponsor, Hasbro’s table was the belle of the ball, showcasing the latest and greatest holiday products. Â Elmo and Play-Doh only begin to scratch the surface of all that Hasbro has to offer in the realm of toys.
K’Nex
While many remember K’Nex as the simple building blocks of our youth, these toys have grown leaps and bounds over their 20 year history. Kids can now build roller coasters with motors or recreate their favorite Wii Mario Kart track! Â K’Nex also offers Tinker Toys. K’Nex proudly builds their toys in Hatfield, PA.
Little Passports
A company started by 2 Moms, Little Passports is a subscription service that offers kids the opportunity to travel the world from their very own home. For $10.95/month, kids will be introduced to a new state or country each month through a package they receive in the mail. The monthly package follows Sam and Sofia, the Little Passports characters, on their adventures. Sam and Sophia pass along stickers, postcards and a letter with the inside scoop of their travels.
Tommy Hilfiger
Well-known for their adult clothing lines, Tommy Hilfiger stopped by to showcase their apparel for boys. The look of the line is classic, and made from durable lasting fabrics. So many of the outfits offer a great assortment of outfits for the holidays, with the colors and patterns complimentary between all of the pieces. Perfect for coordinating family photos!
Just Play Toys
Just Play Toys adds yet another element of depth to the must-have toys for the 2012 holiday season. Â Offering the hottest toys in plush, dolls and role-play, kids love the familiar faces of Doc McStuffins, Minnie Mouse and Tigger. Whether kids love to cook in Minnie’s Kitchen or play doctor with Doc McStuffin’s medicine bag, kids are sure to play, play, play!
Stella & Dot
Jewelry makes the outfit, and Stella & Dot deliver! Â Celebrities have been spotted wearing some of the awesome pieces Stella & Dot have to offer, and PSMM’s had a chance to see the baubles live and in person. The statement necklaces were stunning and the brand-new scarves are perfect for completing holiday outfits.
Cherchies Gourmet Specialty Foods
No one could stay away from the delicious spread offered by Cherchies Gourmet Specialty Foods. A local favorite, Cherchies is headquartered in Malvern, PA and manufactured in Honeybrook, PA. Truly local! Â Their Champagne Mustard is a classic pairing with pretzels, and their spreads and seasoning mixes will be the perfect compliment to any holiday party.
VZ Wraps
VZ Wraps, another local business started by a “mompreneur,” provides reusable fabric gift bags. With many patterns to choose from, gifts can be wrapped in themes ranging from Christmas to birthdays. Â The bags are made from organic and traditional cotton, and come in a variety of sizes. The bag itself is a gift! Perfect to stock up on for the holidays.
Barely There
Guests attending Mom Mixer were introduced to the amazingly comfortable intimates line from Barely There. Not only could they see the many styles Barely There had to offer, but they could be fitted for their very own intimates take-away! Â Barely There fit specialists are trained to make sure every woman can find the correct size and fit, making sure you are comfortable under your clothes for the holidays.
